Pfeildorf is a small city in Wissenland in the Empire situated where River Sol joins Upper Reik. [1][3]
It has white towers. [2a]
Defences
History
It was once the capital of the Province of Solland. [1]
Siege by Tamurkhan
In 2510 IC and learning of the advance of the horde of Chaos Lord Tamurkhan, the Margrave of Wissenland, Olger Hoch brought his army of four thousand to the city and ordered it evacuated save for the soldiers. [2b] When it was attacked the army formed up beneath its wall, relying on the array of cannon and formed regiments to break the Chaos invaders. However the horde was accompanied by a powerful Chaos Dwarf force and whose own artillery was unleashed upon the defenders, killing many before the main horde charged, supported by flying Dragons and Chimera. The subsequent battle was swift and then the artillery was turned upon the city itself, destroying the gatehouse in one devestating salvo. The city was then sacked and burned. [2a]
Government
Following the Storm of Chaos it was ruled by Baroness Toppenheimer who also governed the local villages of Bernau, Durbheim, Elzach and Hausern. [1]
Trade
Pfeildorf is the centre of the Sudenland wool trade, whilst also being known for its clothing manufacture and fishing. [1]
