During the Wars of Reclamation, the Keeper of Secrets N'Kari captured the temple of Moonspire and turned it into a vision of Slaanesh's realm. Its presence and the corruption of the temple were discovered by scouts dispatched by Tyrion who led his army to Moonspire to confront his enemy once more.[1a]
Tens of thousands of Daemons were at the tower, many lured by the prospect of enjoying the spoils that N'Kari had obtained including many slaves taken in the ongoing conflict. Although it had been corrupted by the servants of the Dark Prince, it was still a temple to the Elf Goddess of the Moon and her champion, Teclis could draw on the magic stored within. This he used to devastate the Daemons with Moonfire as they fought against the High Elves.[1a]
N'Kari smashed its way to confront the twins but was initially sent reeling by the same moonfire - as it charged towards the mage causing it pain, Tyrion counter-charged on Malhandir. Sunfang sliced open a deep wound in the belly of the Daemon and Tyrion's faithful mount was quick enough to avoid the return blow. Next, the Phoenix Guard moved in and although a dozen died, they held it at bay so that Teclis could again unleash the moonfire. Tyrion moved in again and struck out with a blow that removed the head of the Keeper of Secrets from its shoulders.[1a]
Few of the other Daemons cared much for N'Kari and so the battle continued, Teclis fighting his way towards the temple itself, safeguarded by Swordmasters and carrying the head of the slain Daemon.[1b] He had determined that it had been a locus for their presence and he hoped he could use it to destroy the incursion.[1a] At the summit of the tower, he called out the words of a spell and as he slammed his sacred staff into the skull, the goddess answered.[1b]
She set a massive wave of moonfire across the battlefield, soothing the Elves but destroying every Daemon it touched, reaching out across the continent until it found the ocean. Although Teclis nearly fell from the pinnacle, he was saved by the Swordmasters - but his now inert staff fell and shattered on the stone below.[1b]
