Aucassin
Aucassin is a Vampire nobleman of Mousillon in Bretonnia.[1a]
He is a key lieutenant to Mallobaude [1a] but like many of his ancestors is exemplar of courtly culture and a patron of the arts. Gracious and accomodating as a host at his Chataeu, even those who become aware of his true nature often choose to ignore it. [1b]
Appearance
Tall and slim, he has a slightly cruel face. [1b] He is able to shift his features at will to appear human. [1c]
Chateau Hane
An old but well maintained octagonal keep that guards one end of a small but sturdy bridge across the river Grismerie and the home of Acuassin. From here he rules several nearby villages and although there are often staked corpses of poachers by the bridge he is considered a better lord than most. The interior is tastefully decorated with antique furniture and exquisite tapestries. [1d]
There are stables nearby for his own and his knights horses. [1d]
Heraldry
Three black flowers of a white field with a small black fleur-de-lis added in recognition of his service to Maldred. [1b]
History
His vampirirc ancesters fought for both Maldred against the King and for Merovech against the Duke of Lyonesse. [1b]
He imports young, beautiful men and women to drain and has a variety of artists and poets that entertain him and his guests. [1b]
Aucassin is important to Mallobaude not only for his huge wealth, but also by gathering and vetting other nobles. [1b]
