Mirai is the name given to a dark pit within the Elfish religion that is said to be controlled by the Underworld goddess Ereth Khial who imprisoned the souls of many elves within it after Asuryan rejected her advances. [1]
According to the beliefs of the Elves, if Ereth Khial is ever angered again then she will summon the dead who would outnumber the living whereupon they would be devoured.[1]
