Phoenix Crown
The Phoenix Crowns of Ulthuan or the Crowns of the Phoneix King are magical artefacts of the High Elves. [2a]
History
The first crown was made by the Dwarfs [1b] and worn by Aenarion himself. [2b]
At the conclusion of the War of Vengeance the crown was taken from the corpse of Caledor II in recompense for the many grudges that the Dwarfs had declared during the conflict. As the elves withdrew from the Old World, the three towers of Tor Alessi were destroyed and used to make a vault for the crown. [1a]
The crown travels, under heavy guard every decade or so from one Dwarf Hold to another so that all Dwarfs can see this great prize - it also brought forth at festivals of remembrance where the gathered dwarfs can commemorate warriors of ancient days and curse the elves before the crown. [1b]
Powers
The first crown boosted the morale of nearby Elves and made the wearer without fear or doubt. [2b]
