Anaegnir
Anaegnir was a female Dragon allied to the High Elves of Caledor.[1a]
Appearance
Her upper body was dark blue whilst her legs and lower parts were slate coloured whilst her voice was more mellow than male dragons like Maedrethnir and Nemaerinir.[1a]
History
In the years before the Sundering, she traveled with her rider Prince Thyrinor to help protect and expand the colonies of Caledor in the new lands across the Great Ocean. After their victory at the Battle of the Laithenn River, they returned to their base at Tor Arlieth where Prince Imrik received word that his brother wanted him to return home and attend the court of the Phoenix King to address the problem of the Cults of Pleasure - Anaegnir and Thyrinor returned home with him. [1a]
After the election of Caledor I as the new Phoenix King, he came to the Dragon caves to gather what Dragons that would awaken to help him in his war against Nagarythe. Only Anaegnir, Maedrethnir and Nemaerinir answered the call.[1b]
She was with Thyrinor at the Battle of Nairain Ely. [2a]
When Morathi laid waste to Avelorn and attacked the Gaen Vale ca. -2739 IC Thyrinor was dispatched by Caledor I to aid the Everqueen with two other Dragon Riders and an army of 10,000, mostly new recruits from the eastern kingdoms. As the two armies prepared for battle, he led the three dragons against the Druchii but was intercepted by Morathi who conjured a pillar of poisonous smoke that enveloped Thyrinor and Anaegnir, crushing and killing them both. [2b]
