Vlad von Carstein |
As the Empire was torn apart by civil war in the Age of Three Emperors, Vlad von Carstein mustered his Undead army in Sylvania but encountered the army of the Elector Count of Middenheim just inside Sylvanian borders. [1]
As they fought amongst the dark forest, cairns and ruins, the Middenheim army proved quicker and more adaptable and won the day after a hard battle. Vlad himself was slain by the Knights of the White Wolf. [1]
It would be a full year before the Vampire Lord arose again with another army. [1]
Note
Current sources state that the Vampire Wars were fought during age of the Anarchy instead of the previous Age of Three Emperors.[2]
