Barrakul

Barrakul^[2]

Barrakul is a Dwarf Runesword. ^[1a]

Its name means Hope of the Mountains. ^[1b]

History

The sword was forged by an unknown Runesmith. ^[3]

Whilst fighting against Orcs that had desecrated a temple to the Dawi Ancestor Gods, the Daemon Slayer Harbek Armgusson recovered the sword. ^[3]

It came into the possession of a Dwarf priest of the Cult of Sigmar and then to the Templar Siegfried von Kesselring.^[3] He defended a newly constructed temple of Sigmar in the village of Wittgendorf from a Warrior of Chaos who led a pack of Beastmen. He held them off until reinforcements could arrive, greatly aided by his magical sword.^[1a]

The Grand Theogonist himself buried the Templar in the crypt of the temple he had fought to defend with the sword. ^[1a]

Powers

It ignores all non-magical armour or shields, phasing through them, it is very hard to defend against as it fades in and out of existence in combat, only the red runes always present. In addition it will actively try to stop the wielder from harming Dwarfs by making them miss or making the blows less damaging. ^[1b][2]
